Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, Cary received his BA(‘14) from the University of California at Santa Cruz. His coastal upbringing had a profound impact on his life and work. Inspired by marine ecology, Cary’s work examines the discourse surrounding the intersection of the natural world and human made environments. His projects are executed in a wide range of materials and forms in order to address the existential threat of a shifting climate.
Cary currently lives and works in Berkeley, California and received his Master of Fine Arts degree(‘18) from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.
